HUDSON SPENDS THE SUMMER TRAVELING with A CORPORATE BAND
March - Aug
Most people who know me know that corporate bands are not really my cup of tea but this summer I spent some quality time out on the road with a local Atlanta corporate band. The experience ............. reminded me why corporate bands are NOT really my forte! I like freedom of expression when I play and some form of improvisation at times, not to mention I don't like packing up anyone else's #$%&(* but mines at the end of the gig! The corporate band experience was good in the sense that I met some really cool people while on the road and it allows you to get away for a weekend and clear your mind. If you have not had the experiece of playing in a corporate band, I suggest you try it atlease once it will really test your character and tell you who you are musically!

HUDSON RAISES OVER $6000 FOR A SUCCESSFUL BOOK FUNDING CAMPAIGN
Hudson is in the process of writing a 20 book music series called the "WHY PLAY SERIES?"
The "Why Play Series" is a series of 20 books focused on helping musicias choose the RIGHT instruments for their personality. The first book of this series "Why Play Piano?" was successfully funded via a kickstarter campaign Hudson ran in order to complete this first book. The campaign ran for 45 days with a goal of raising $5500 for editing, printing and distribution.
Hudson was able to successfully solicit funds from family, friends, fans and local businesses to meet and exceed his goal.
Why Play Piano is now available via the merchandise page of this website and will soon be available as an e-book and prayerfully in schools across the US. Hudson would love to have your help to further this campaign and push this wonderful book series into school systems. During his first book fair @ the Decatur Book Festival, Hudson nearly sold out of all 30 + books he had and sold over 25 CD's.
Please support Hudson's efforts in getting this most interesting book series out to the music community.
