Born and raised in Washington, DC. , Hudson fell into music in a conscience effort to skip math class. One day, in my forth grade math class a teacher walked in as said, "Does anyone want to play a musical instrument"? In a desperate attempt to skip math class, Hudson ran out the room screaming "I Do, I Do". Needless to say when he got to college he failed math.
Hudson received a full scholarship to Bowie State University in 1994 and began his professional music career soon after. Before he was even a Junior at Bowie State University he progressed to the schools lead Trumpeter for The Marching, Pep, Jazz and Concert Bands, and became the school's leading student recording engineer. In 1996, Hudson began performing Locally and Nationally Touring some of the top names in the music industry's such as: Lauren Hill, Grover Washington Jr. Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Dells, The Winstons, The Washington Redskins Jazz & Pro Bands etc......
In 1998 Hudson formed, established and incorporated 'Hudson Sounds Music & Entertainment', as his own Entertainment company where he would begin to contract musicians and talent to perform on shows and various studio dates. In 1999 Hudson opened Omega Hits Recording Studios & Real Hit Records where he would go on to produce & co-produce a number of hit records and help establish several recording artist's careers.
Hudson began playing The Bass Guitar & Stand-up Bass in 2000 while out on tour in The U.S Virgin Islands. Shortly after learning to play the Bass Guitar, Hudson recorded and released his first solo recording project entitled, "A Laid Back World" in 2002. Hudson also recorded on a number of records and CD's while in while making a name for himself in the music business.
In 2003, Hudson relocated to Atlanta Georgia where he linked up with National Blues Recording Artist and Guitar Great "Theodis Ealey" and began to tour across the United States. Since 2004, Hudson has performed behind some of the most well known names in the industry today including {Basketball Legend} Terry Cummings and more.
In 2007, Hudson released his second solo project entitled "Bassically Yours" which has gotten rave reviews and national recognition in The United States, Japan, Europe and countries abroad. This has been Hudson's sole Biggest accomplishment to date and has sold more than 4000 copies in The Atlanta Metropolitan area alone. This CD is available in record stores in the United States and Europe and has made airplay and hit charts in Europe and the U.S. Since the recording of this project, Hudson has performed on Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta, Channel 11 Alive News. "Bassically Yours" CD has been aired in Several States including: Chicago, Washington DC, California, Atlanta etc........
Hudson has also been the feature act and headline Act for The Atlanta Jazz Festival, The Dekalb Jazz & Blues Festival, IAJE International Music Conference and more. He Continues to reside in Atlanta GA. and performs in the U.S. and across the world.
Hudson believes that playing for dozens of name artist and playing on numerous recording is all good but, "Only What You Do For Someone Else Today Matters" .................
Simply Put, Hudson is One of The BEST and most talented Bassist of his Time. Hudson has Played with Majors (National Signed Artist) and Minors (Local Artist) "It Doesn't matter who I play with, all that Matters is the MUSIC" , Remember the only real differance in a Major and a Minor is: ATTITUDE!
